BDMI bags Best Film Award 2017

Best Film Award

The auspicious 6th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival 2017 held on the 29th of October at Hotel Tivoli Grand, New Delhi was indeed an overwhelming occasion for the achievers of B. D. M. International School. Over 306 films had participated from all across the globe, out of which only 139 films were officially selected and out of that only about 95 films were screened throughout the day. B. D. M. International proudly holds the “BEST FILM AWARD” for it’s inspiring and soul awakening short film named “Abosheshe”. The film revolves around the urge and the thirst of having a role or status or an identity or making a mark for oneself in this world. The story is about the life of a woman which has been compared to that of a “roadside chaiwala” both of whom have to fulfill their duties of serving hot cups of tea to everyone each morning. The film revolves around the lack of acknowledgement of the existence of a woman who has a lot of contributions towards the society.

It was indeed a proud moment for the students who had worked really hard and had fought tooth and nail to get this honour. The director of the film was Sagnik Chakravarty, cinematography by Saptarshi Kar Roy, and edited by Ayan Dey. All of these couldn’t have been possible without the guidance of Mr. Sourav Sil who was their constant mentor and was there with them at their each step towards success. All the members of the B. D. M. I. family were at the highest peak of happiness upon receiving the award in front of the famous film makers Angel Puado and Gregoria Azkona Andueza of Spain, who were the honourable jury members. The entire B. D. M. I. family congratulates all the students and their mentors on their success and everyone is really proud of this grand achievement. Thus, the B. D. M. I. students continue to carry forward their legacy of accomplishment surpassing all the difficult challenges with extreme diligence and devotion, thus making their school proud with all their wonderful achievements.
