Bookfair at BDMI

Writer and Writings

B.D.M. International added yet another feather in its cap as it celebrated the essence of The Book Fair, 2018 in the school’s premises on 9th February. Renowned author of Scotland, currently residing in London, Abir Mukherjee visited the school. He in association with British Council Library conducted a creative writing workshop on this day. Mukherjee is an acclaimed crime fiction novelist and is known for his relatable settings based in the City of Joy.

The writer was heartily welcomed in the library of the school, which was apt for his creative writing workshop. He conducted a creative writing session with the students of class VIII, where he presented various facets of writing crime fiction. His enriching lecture was followed by an activity where students were divided into groups and they had to jot down their own versions of mini-crime stories. The students’ response was phenomenal and Mukherjee ended the session by leaving back a note of thanks for the students, teachers and the school.
