To the Time Immemorial

Late Smt. Draupadi Devi Khaitan must have solely believed that the greatest gifts one can give to their children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence. Honouring her undying effort to make B.D.M.International reach to the zenith of success, an Inter-School Debate Competition was organised on 29th August, 2019. The motto was to honour and restore the culture of India and remind the current generation that they must value and appreciate their roots, and only then they will be able to achieve triumph. More than 17 schools of repute – Abhinav Bharati High School, Apeejay School, Bhavan’s Gangabux Kanoria Vidya Mandir, DAV Public School, DPS Ruby Park, DPS Howrah, Future Campus School, Jyotirmoy Public School, Khalsa Model Senior Secondary School, Mahadevi Birla World Academy, National English School, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Saifee Hall, Saltlake Shiksha Niketan, The Aryans School, The BSS School, The Vedanta Academy, and, B.D.M.International ; took part in this debate competition on “Bharatiya Sanskriti Par Paschat Savyata ka Pravab- Vikas ya Vinas”. Extremely eminent personalities adorned the occasion with their presence. The presentation of the students impressed the judges – Ashok Kumar Sharma, Head Master of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Dr. Subhra Upadhyaya, Associate Professor Khudiram Bose Central College and Dr. Geeta Dubey, Associate Professor Scottish Church College. They were delighted with the presentation, speakers and the motion of the debate. The Best Team award was bagged by Mahadevi Birla World Academy (Diya Daga and Tamanna Ghosh), while the Best Speaker for and against the motion were Aerone Singh (D.P.S. Ruby Park) and Vidushi Tiwari (Salt Lake Shiksha Niketan) respectively. The competition was a grand success which came to an end with the vote of thanks form the Principal and with B.D.M.I.’s promise to come forward with such innovative initiatives in the due course of time.

The revised date will be notified soon.
