B.D.M.International Observed International Day of People with Disability
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed worldwide on December 3, as has been promoted by the United Nations since 1992.
B.D.M.International has also been an active participant in the observance of this day that aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and ensures their development.
The Minister of State Sports and Youth Services Shri Laxmi Ratan Shukla who is also the Former Indian Cricketer graced this occasion with his motivational words to go for the alternative use of resources. His active participation in the cycle ride of 110 km truly matched his words and action. ‘Dil Se’- an endeavor by him and his team to spread awareness for plastic reuse and benefits of cleanliness also inspired all to adopt environment-friendly practices. The combined efforts of Disha(NGO) to spread awareness amongst the students on how to fight the deadly disease Cancer through early intervention and conscious actions added a special significance to the programme.
‘Divyang’- the specially-abled persons are not to be segregated from the mainstream society and this laudable effort of B.D.M.I. has definitely showcased the need for All Inclusive Education- a harmonious teaching- learning atmosphere for all in an environment- friendly ambience.
