Trip to Shantiniketan and Kaziranga – A Time to Discover Joy, Morality and Self

Travelling is a part of education where the learners get unlocked to new variety of ideas and views – out of the circumference of theoretical knowledge to get into a new garden of pragmatism, where they could form a genuine bond with everything they are studying in a tangible sense. With this spirit, B.D.M.International organised two educational tours – for the upper primary classes at Shantiniketan and for the senior secondary classes at Kaziranga, Assam. Excursion in BDMI is long awaited by the students, who look up to the fun learning experience and relaxation from the everyday book study.

The upper primary classes went to the land of Tagore – Shantiniketan on 2nd – 4th November, where their knowledge about the culture, art and humanities got elevated. The trip to Shantiniketan was explored by 57 students, accompanied by 7 teachers. They visited the “Khoyai Haat” and toured to the Biswabharti museum and to Tagore’s home at Shantiniketan where, be it as it may, the students could feel Tagore’s presence, his passion and his divination.
The trip to Kaziranga by the higher secondary classes was filled with extreme euphoria and delight. It was from 7th to 11th November, when 24 students of the senior class along with 3 teachers went on to a tour in the Land of One-Horned Rhinos. The Assam Himalayas, the vista of the flora, the alluring sound of the jungle and the serene environment made the expedition de-stressing and made a perfect domain for the students to relax, think and learn the physical features and the science of the earth. The students paid a visit to the Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park, Kaziranga National Park. On the day of the return, the students visited the Kaziranga falls before paying a visit to the Kamakhya temple.

Throughout the tour the students were observed to have a practical sense and positive feeling and both the trips helped the students to explore knowledge in a personally meaningful way. Both the trips came to a head with numerous memories which were too exceptional and precious.
