WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY, 2016

WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY 2016

REPORT ON MEDIA AND TOBACCO
Yet another accomplishment added a feather to the crown of success of BDMI. Aman Modi and Aryama Bhattacharjee of Class XII (Humanities) prepared an extensive report on Media’s role in propagating tobacco consumption. In doing so they brought to the forefront that other than making the consumers aware that smoking is harmful, they passively support its consumption. The purpose of the report was to contradict the popular notion that the war against addiction has failed not because addiction cannot be stopped but because it is portrayed as “COOL”.
BDMI has always given its students the freedom to think and express, this is the reason that on World No Tobacco Day the students prepared the report and it was selected by the CBSE Board as the Best Report sent by any school. Among the Top 40 school of India , it was BDMI and its students that hitherto put in their best and emerged undisputed and acknowledged successors of tomorrow.
