SCHOOL POLICY ON DISCIPLINARY ACTION

White Card

White Card is issued by the Administrator/ In charge upon referral by any staff member for the following acts of indiscipline:

  • Disruptive behaviour with peers or adults
  • Causing disturbances during school activities, hindering teaching and learning
  • Repeated late reporting to class and school
  • Skipping classes or mandatory school activities
  • Violation of Uniform conformity and grooming guidelines
  • Being found in restricted areas(For Stepping Stone Building: Terrace area, Staff room in absence of a teacher and backyard)(For Milestone Building: Elevator, terrace area, generator room, Staff room, panel rooms, boundary passages, strong room, record room, green room, maintenance room – behind the stage, support staff waiting room area, labs in absence of a teacher)(For Gemstone Building: Auditorium in absence of a teacher, Examination Control Room, the area outside the elevator and back staircase on the 7th floor, Sports room without adult supervision, Staff room in the absence of a teacher, lobby area in front of CEO and Principal's office, Art room, Labs without adult supervision, Room No : G02 & Podcast room)
  • Wilful destruction of school property / scribbling on tables / walls or (white board) and other school infrastructure.
  • Repeated noncompliance with Home Work or exceeding the Project submission deadline
  • Possession of specimens/chemicals/equipments picked up from school laboratories
  • Loitering in and around the school premises before/ after school hours without any valid reason
Incharges will maintain records of White Card
An almanac note needs to be sent to the parent by the Incharge, informing the issuance of the White Card
Accumulation of three White Cards will result in the issuance of a Yellow Card

Yellow Card

The Yellow Card will be issued by the Principal, upon recommendation by the Headmistress/Administrator/Vice Principal, for the following breaches of discipline:

  • Possession of prohibited electronic items, such as mobile phones, Tabs, laptops or external storage devices
  • Theft
  • Borrowing or lending of money
  • Possession of debit/credit card
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Extortion (attempting to obtain something of value from another through force or intimidation)
  • Engaging in fights resulting in visible injuries
  • Vandalism causing damage to school property
  • Damage to other student/staff or visitor's property
  • Use of unparliamentary language
  • Use of unfair means during school examinations
  • Teasing or name-calling any of the students or staff members
  • Use of colours inside the campus/ playing Holi in school uniform
  • Possession/bursting of crackers inside the campus or school bus
  • Visiting clubs, restaurants, shopping malls, etc., and movie theatres in school uniform
  • Posting of photographs/videos by students wearing school uniform in any social media is strictly prohibited
  • Driving or bringing a vehicle/e-bicycle/motorbike to school in uniform without a driving license
Accumulation of three white cards will result in the issuance of a Yellow Card
The Yellow Card will be issued by the Principal's office
Issuance of Yellow Card entails formal written communication with the parents
When a yellow card is issued to any student, additional assignments will be given to the student by the subject teachers. The Administrators will record the extra work and the student's compliance
In case of non-compliance with the assignments or if the student fails to show improvement in his/her behaviour then the tenure of the yellow card will be extended at the discretion of the Principal
Accumulation of two Yellow cards in a semester will result in the issuance of a Red Card

Red Card

The issuance of a Red Card by the Principal follows a Discipline Committee Meeting and results in a Time Out for the student to introspect. During Time Out the student should go for necessary professional counseling and life skill training as a part of behaviour modification and cognitive behaviour interventionWhite Card is issued by the Administrator/ In charge upon referral by any staff member for the following acts of indiscipline:

  • Defiance and violation of the Student Code of Conduct within or outside the school premises while representing the institution in any event, competition, excursion, workshop, seminar, fest, etc.
  • Execution of disrespectful behaviour such as usage of unparliamentary words, physical touch or push, physical aggression, and throwing objects at any adult or staff member.
  • The school has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of physical bullying. However, the seriousness of the physical injury of the victim will be analysed and action will be taken accordingly. The action might lead to expulsion from the school.
  • Public display of affection within the school premises or while representing the school.
  • Cyberbullying (Other than issues under POCSO) by any student to other students.
The Red Card will be issued by the Principal's office
The duration of Time Out will depend on the decision taken by the Principal and Disciplinary Committee members
Issuing of Red Card entails formal written communication with the parents. Parents along with their wards are to meet the Principal to discuss the incident/issue as per the time given by the school
Upon rejoining the school, parents should furnish the school with a written overview detailing any counselling sessions or interventions administered by professionals.When a yellow card is issued to any student, additional assignments will be given to the student by the subject teachers. The Administrators will record the extra work and the student's compliance

Issuance of T.C. and Removal from School

  • Physical abuse leading to bodily harm falls within the realm of juvenile delinquency.
  • Possession of sharp objects such as blades, knives, or arms that might cause injury to others.
  • The school has a zero-tolerance policy towards possession/distribution/ using any contraband such as e - cigarettes, cigarettes, tobacco, drugs, alcohol, or any other intoxicating substances.
  • Any issue falling under the POCSO Act.
Accumulation of two yellow cards will result in the issuing of a Red Card.
Accumulating two Red Cards within one term will result in expulsion from the school.
