Harmony Hill: A Journey Across Worlds
Rhapsody 2025–2026, the Annual Concert of B.D.M. International, unfolded as a vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, and young talent through its thematic presentation, Harmony Hill: A Journey Across Worlds. The afternoon commenced on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment, followed by the Principal, Ms. Madhumita Sengupta’s address, which highlighted the school’s commitment to holistic education and learning beyond classrooms through meaningful artistic engagement. She took immense pride in reading out the Annual report of the school highlighting the achievements and accolades received in the year gone by. She also informed the parents about the upcoming infrastructural developments and reassured them about the quality of education imparted.
The concert featured captivating performances by students from Grades 1 to 5, who transformed the stage into a dynamic narrative space through dance, drama, and music. Seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary art forms, the performances celebrated cultural diversity while conveying values of harmony, discipline, and social responsibility. Each sequence reflected the school’s strong emphasis on arts-integrated education, fostering creativity, collaboration, confidence, and emotional expression among young learners.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Ms. Poulomi Bose, an eminent actor and theatre artist, who appreciated the school’s cultural vision and underscored the role of schools in nurturing socially conscious and responsible citizens through purposeful artistic platforms. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Shahanshah Mirza, senior GST officer, writer and a dedicated social activist, spoke on the importance of perseverance, discipline, and integrity, highlighting how cultural activities complement academic learning and shape character.
Attended by parents, educators, and distinguished guests, Rhapsody 2025–2026 emerged as a resounding success. Beyond its visual splendour, the concert effectively conveyed meaningful messages, leaving the audience inspired by the students’ performances and the powerful storytelling that defined the journey across worlds.
