Awareness is the first step towards change.”
On 3rd July 2025, the Interact Club of B.D.M. International successfully conducted an Adolescent Hygiene orientation program for the students of Grade VI. With over 300 enthusiastic participants, the session was designed to guide young minds through the crucial journey of adolescence, addressing both the physical and emotional changes they experience. Four students of grade XI, Subham Banerjee, Adrija Sen, Sonakshi Bhattacharjee, and Indradeep Chowdhury conducted the orientation program with confidence, clarity, and compassion, creating a safe and interactive space for their juniors to understand and discuss the sensitive topic of adolescent hygiene.
The workshop was a blend of videos, songs, presentations, and interactive discussions, making it not just educational but also engaging and relatable. Students were encouraged to speak openly, support one another, and challenge the stigma surrounding menstruation and puberty.
By fostering awareness, empathy, and a safe space for dialogue, this initiative marks a significant step towards building a more informed and compassionate generation.
